Sojourn Turkey

we booked a 12 day Best of Turkey tour with Sojourn and were impressed with the organization, guides, hotels and meals. Amazed at how much we were able to see in a relatively short time in Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, and Antalya. March is a good time to go before the tourist season starts in earnest.

Turkey trip was amazing. The country is very beautiful with excellent weather and lovely people. I had been to Istanbul, Cappadocia and Kas. Each city has its own rich cultural heritage and history. Soujourn had organized everything quite well. Each of the guides were very helpful and kind. Starting from Basek at airport, Sakis at Istanbul, Aylin at Cappadocia and Seriffe, all were friendly and helpful. They educated me well with their knowledge about each of the places we visited. The location, weather, food, stay, transport and cleanliness – all are excellent. Turkish people are such food lovers and quite generous. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosques, Bosphourous rides, Grand bazar at Istanbul are marvelous. The open air museums in Goreme are truly amazing. Unfortunately, I couldn't do the hot air balloon ride at Cappadocia as the weather was not good. As a city, I am in love with Kas – such a beautiful place with lovely view of the Mediterranean Sea.One thing, maybe Soujourn can consider is to make the price of their package bit more competitive.Nevertheless, I recommend you should visit Turkey atleast once in your lifetime. And if you are considering a tour package I recommend Soujour Tours and the above mentioned guides.Good luck !

I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Istanbul and Cappadocia with Sojourn and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From the moment we landed, everything was taken care of for us, and we were able to relax and enjoy our trip to the fullest.Our tour guides, Gökçen and Aylin, were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of the areas we visited, and they were always happy to answer any questions we had. It was clear that they had a deep love for the places they were showing us, and that made the experience all the more meaningful.One of the things that really stood out to me about Sojourn was their flexibility. They were always willing to adjust our itinerary to accommodate our interests and preferences, and they made sure that we were comfortable and happy every step of the way. This made for a truly personalized and unforgettable trip.Finally, I have to mention how great Gokcen and Aylin were with our children. Sojourn helped us make all the arrangements for our trip to Izmir. We stayed at the wonderful Richmond Ephesus Resort. Everything was perfect, and I cannot wait to go back. If you stay at Richmond Ephesus, go see Hamza and book an hour at the hammam. You won't be disappointed!

This is a company which is supposed to specialize in creating tours for clients with mobility issues. Although they provided excellent guides, many of the activities they suggested were not suitable for someone who uses a mobility scooter. First, they did not arrange for transportation between tourist venues for the first 2 days of our visit to Istanbul. The guide, who was wonderful, had to arrange a van to take my husband and I from place to place, since the company expected us to use public transportation, which is crowded and completely unsuitable for a person with a disability. Many of the palaces on our list of activities had steep marble staircases, and even if the machine could have been carried up the steps, it was not allowed for fear that the floors would be damaged. Although we had a good time on our trip, that was mostly due to our guides making alternate plans. I realize Istanbul is an old, crowded city which was not designed for people with disabilities, but if the company had been honest about the limitations I would face, I probably would have chosen a different country to visit.

I've taken two trips with Sojourn, and their service, accommodations, guides, and meals are terrific. I'll be using them again. Everyone in both my groups was truly happy with the experience.

My husband and I contacted Sojourn directly to help us plan and make arrangements for a 10 day trip to Turkey. We visited Istanbul, Troy, Ephesus, and Cappadocia. Everything about our experience with Sojourn was excellent. They arranged our internal flights, hotel stays, guides, and ground transport. Our guides were wonderful: knowledgeable and personable and happy to make every effort to ensure that our desires were fulfilled. (For example, my husband wanted to have a Turkish barber experience) The hotels were high quality. Also, the cost for our private tour was not much more than a group tour booked with an American tour company.

Sojourn booked us a trip to an all inclusive in Northern Cyprus. The Concord hotel we stayed at was epic! I have been back a couple times now but Sojourn made everything so easy from check in to handling questions when they came up!
