They spoke English and were very nice, I highly recommend as they specialize in traditional archery which is a rarity and were very helpful answering my questions

Kemankesh Traditional Archery is a wonderful place to learn Asiatic style archery. Hasan, the owner of the shop, is very responsive (contacted him through WhatsApp) and is an amazing teacher. Learning how to shoot thumb draw with traditional bows was a great experience. The shop also has a wide selection of bows, arrows, quivers, and thumb rings. Overall, this is a great archery shop and would highly recommend visiting if you are in Istanbul, Turkey!

It really took me a while to find out where his shop was. Didn’t even know it was up stair. I was lucky to have this encounter with Mr. Hasen. He taught me a few archery tricks that revolutionized how I shoot with traditional bows, such as focusing on target before shooting and exerting pressure on the nock point to compensate for wrong deflection to the bow poundage, which also fixes arrow even nock point is loose. I should be thankful that he granted me a key to entering traditional archery.P.S: before going, I had had concerns with communication issues, but Mr.Hasen had experience studying abroad and probably spoke better English than I do. That being said, folks, don’t even worry about it.P.S 2: Beside Mr. JZW’s Manchurian bow, I don’t think I am going to buy another fiberglass bow—laminated bows feel so smooth that I always underestimate poundage before I loosen my index finger.

I highly recommend you to visit this shop. Whether you want to shop for supplies or learn how to shoot.Mr.Hasan is a great teacher and I learned the Turkish style of archery. He speaks very good English and I had no problem understanding.Mr.Hasan is also very patient. I watched him work with my little brothers who knew nothing of archery and by the end of class they were able to shoot decently for their first time.Me and my family had a great experience here!
