This was such an incredible experience. The tour through the village was so interesting. Our host gave us some very interesting information regarding the history in the area and the food culture. You meet local shop keepers as she purchases items along the way that you will use in your class. I loved this portion. You are welcomed into the studio like it is a friend's home where you have come to relax. It's a very peaceful and inspiring space. Then the cooking begins. I learned so many interesting facts about Turkish food. The food we prepared was incredible. Very flavourful and unique dishes. This is an absolutely must do if you are visiting Istanbul.

It's very interesting to learn about Turkish culture while cooking.Every member of the team at this place carries out their work very professionally and incredibly friendly.If you are skeptical about the idea of culinary masterclasses, let go of any doubts. I was a little unsure if it would be a good fit for me. But it turned out to be so easy, enjoyable, and delicious that I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a fantastic experience in this wonderful country.

Cookistan was hands down the highlight of my time in Istanbul and I’d recommend it to anyone - whether it’s your first or fiftieth time visiting Turkey, this is such a unique, fun, & intimate way to get to know the food and culture of the country. Aysin was such a joy - a great teacher & made me feel right at home in her gorgeous kitchen. I’m vegetarian and she made sure I had plenty of options that stayed true to traditional Turkish cuisine. Aside from the experience being so wonderful, everything we cooked was absolutely delicious (we made plenty, and I was able to take my leftovers too!). All in all, I can’t recommend this experience enough - make it part of your Istanbul itinerary!

This is by far the best cooking class in Istanbul! You not only cook but you get a mini tour of the neighborhood, a little history, and great cooking instructors. Very profesional and well organized. If you are in Istanbul you have to experience this!

I had a wonderful time! Our host was very knowledgeable and super laid back and friendly. She explained lots of history of Turkish food. It’s all hands on and you get to taste your creations at the end. I highly recommend her and it’s worth every penny!

The cooking classes were the highlight of our trip. We've been on a team retreat in Istanbul and decided to go to Cookistan for the cooking classes. Everything was amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Istanbul!

An absolutely superb experience with lovely hosts. The class was full of laughter, Turkish cuisine history, cooking tips and delicious food at the end!

The cooking class offered by Cookistan is an amazing opportunity to learn more about Turkish food and cooking in a very friendly and unique setting. Although the experience has already very good reviews on Google, it still ended up exceeding my expectations. The place is perfect, all the recipes were delicious and - thanks to the amazing instructors - relatively easy to prepare. I would definitely recommend booking a class with them, it is worth the money! Thanks again for everything!!
