YogaŞala - Nişantaşı

This was where I had my first introduction to yoga back in 2011 and got me hooked to Ashtanga Yoga. It is a space of learning and breathing and my two years living in Istanbul was made all the more beautiful with most of my days spent here with lovely like minded people. The wealth of workshops organised here opened my eyes to the world beyond and within. Precious practice and Satsang opportunities with all the lovely teachers based there, and visiting teachers like Hamish Hendry and Richard Freeman are still strongly etched in my mind and guide my practice till today. I would love to come back and pay a visit and homage to this wonderful sala.

Thanks for this superb class with you Matt. I just enjoyed the Yoga and Rooftop View from your studio. Classy Interior which I rare see in most studios. Will come again on my next trip to Istanbul.

I was travelling in Türkiye and visited YogaSala Nisantasi to practice in their Mysore room. They were very welcoming and supportive. The shala is very beautiful and teachers are so friendly and helpful. I will definitely practice here again next time I’m in Istanbul!

Visited their Nişantaşı location situated on the six floor of an apartment building. They offer a nice variety of classes by very competent and friendly teachers .Admin staff very helpful and friendly. If you are into Mysore style try to attend Canan Õzalp's classes(?) , amazing teacher..

Очень хорошая студия. Были с мужем на тренировках у 4-х разных тренеров, все очень понравились.Тренера профессионалы. Уделяют внимание и медитации и технике и дыханию. Тренировка по аштанге- топ.Очень приятно проходит шавассана. Говорят приятные слова и мажут приятным маслом.В студии очень приятный ремонт, есть все дополнительное оборудование для йоги (для тех, кто привык к айенгаре).Есть тренировки, которые изначально анонсированы на английском, но были и на тех, которые были на турецком. На них тренера все равно старались все продублировать на английском.

I spent six weeks attending ashtanga classes at Yogaşala in Nişantaşı. Morning Mysore-style during the week, and a led class on Saturday morning.My experience was extremely positive. The instructors I met were thoughtful, supportive, and professional. Beyza guided me into headstand (at last!), Verda helped me so much with breathing, and Garo showed me some really useful adjustments.I am not particularly good at the ashtanga sequence. But every morning, I had a warm welcome. İf you are thinking about attending Yogaşala, go for it!By the way. I don't understand enough Turkish to take instructions. So I was very grateful to all teachers for clear instructions in English. I hope next time I will know more than nefes al" - but for now

They are very professional and possessing clean studio including Etiler. They spend a lot of time and attention to disinfected studio and all its objects after sessions. Their anti-pandemic protection precautions are very intense. New owner of YogaSala made extraordinary new architecture for Etiler and Nisantasi, hence since I have been attending YogaSala last decades, I can see improvement and embellishment which is awe. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all YogaSala team and new owners generosity, creativity and such adoration to such Yoga history and its benefits. YogaSala deserves every single commitment you consider to give them in terms of money, time and attention...
